In this case, investigation of unauthorized hiring by Chipotle Grill restaurant has been researched. In this case, employment practices of restaurant have been observed. It has pointed eligibility criteria for working in United States by foreign immigrants.  Chipotle is fast growing chain of restaurant. It is operating now in 41 states. It showed 11% growth in revenue despite of slugging condition of economy. It is stated by Reuters that it is due to its labor cost cutting. There are few conditions for foreign immigrants in United States. It is observed that half million unauthorized immigrants entered into United States in each year. It is also researched that 8.3 unauthorized employees in United States workforce.

It was observed that unauthorized workers are earning average $7.60 in one hour as compared to other workers in food industry. 44% workers in food industry are earning lower wages as compared to other workers. Government is taking steps for implementing law enforcement in employment in United States. Administration of social security is investigating employers. In 2009, American Apparel terminated 1800 employees that were unauthorized after audit of ICE. Another company also fired 26 employees that had illegally entered into United States. In 2010, Chipotle also terminated 450 workers due to same reason. Company hired new workers for running of its operations. (Berfield, 2012)
