Being a general manager of Applied Research Technology, Inc. (ART) Vyas had put his own credibility at risk as he opted to re launch the mini water oxidation product. This company with a billions of revenue has built its reputation and success based on innovation and entrepreneurial culture which is embedded in its core  values and its decentralized philosophy which allows the mangers at respective units to experiment, brainstorm and think about new out of the box ideas and produce new innovative products.

Though ART allows the business units to work independently, they prefer sharing technology, knowledge and human capital throughout the company. In addition, they set objective for their respective units and make different business units to focus on stupendous success, which drives them to work hard and use the available resources optimally to bring the desired results for ART.

One thing which drives innovation at ART is realizing the past mistakes and evaluating the projects, since company had confronted failure in the production of Water project, therefore, ART took oxidation technology as the most promising opportunity which can be re launched and had the ability to change the life of the billions, and can bring commercial value to the company, due to growing demands of fresh water in hugely populated countries like India and China, which have huge demand for fresh water, as these countries face lack of safe drinking water. Another important aspect of their growth and innovation is the continuous struggle to develop on the conceived idea, as company went through so many years as R&D team worked with the project manager, and despite many failures, had utmost believe in the ability and idea of their manager and re launched the project so many times to continue the research and testing. In continuous struggle to strive for success, company recruits talented people and focus on discipline and runs the projects with rigorous planning and continuous in process evaluation and analysis.

The culture in the organization allows the divisional manager of water management to work closely with her team,  as she believed in the ability of the team and continued backing and motivating the team to achieve success and allowed them to use all the available resources and despite so many failures provided with extra technological, human and other resource to eventually succeed. Throughout the re launch and different processes she continued giving her inputs to keep team on track and observed and analyzed their progress and stressed at reducing the costs to ease pressure on company. She appeared to be totally aware of the situation that team needs continuous help and motivation as he provided for internal expertise and ordered the engineers and manufacturing managers from other units to help the project manager. Despite the lack of resource in his team, they managed to developed the product because she personally took interest in project and challenged the team through and motivated them, and tested them at different occasions

Finally the role of CEO Hall in the project development is symbolic as he believes in the innovation and entrepreneurship are two engines which drive the company, and he is the back bone of the company as he promoted this culture of continues strive for success despite facing hurdles and failures, and encourage workers, his front line managers and workers to have firm believe in their ability and strive to achieve the objectives and goals of the company.  Therefore, it could be argued that,  ART has built the culture which promote innovation through managers who work at front line and plays crucial role in create, promote and back the new upcoming ideas and understand the importance of failure too in achieving great success in the end.
