Did you make any decisions or take any actions in the Sample-Explore-Modify steps that you now regret? What and Why?
What did you learn from Part 1 of the Data Mining Assignment? Five or ten years from now, what are the skills or concepts that (I hope) will stay with you.
There were 5 skills learnt from part 1, those were variable classification, Computing and interpreting descriptive statistics, computing frequency charts with the help of pivot tables, computing and interpreting correlations and making decisions on the basis of these computations. In variable classification I learnt three categories of variables, those variables are Continuous variables, categorical variables and Numerical variables.
In Descriptive statistics I learned how to interpret mean, median, standard deviation, variance, minimum, Maximum, range and Skewness. In Frequency charts in form of pivot tables I learned how to measure frequencies of one variable and the frequency of two variables combined and how to interpret them.
In the last part I learned about correlation and conditional highlighting. I color coded my correlation table and further determined that there were 3 types of relationship between two variables one was positive, second was neutral and third was negative.
