Questions#1 What do you believe is the motivation for the change at Kraft foods? Does the motivation for the change matter or the organizational change itself?

For the Kraft Food, Motivation is the driving factor to make sure the success by bringing up change within the organization. For the craft food, the motivational factor to bring change in the organization is concern with the health issue as some of the food products are increasing child obesity. By getting motivation from this issue, the Kraft food decided to bring organizational change by considering their ethical and social responsibilities.

Question#2 Can social trends lead to organizational change? If so, how? List some examples.

Change is the reflection of modern world therefore, to keep the business up to the trend and according to the demands of the customers, the organizations required to bring up change. Therefore, it is precisely right to say that the social trends lead the change to the organizations. In this concern a general example from daily life is the use of mobile phone. In the old days, the mobile phone was source of communication and the companies also produce mobile phones with two major services such as calling and text messaging. However, in the modern world, the trend of using mobile phone has been transformed by the social trend as the people like to use mobile phone not only for calling and texting but they demand more features in a mobile phone such as camera, internet connectivity etc. Considering this social trend, the mobile phone manufacturing company has to change their manufacturing according to the social trend because this act is associated with the survival of the company in the modern world. Therefore, with this example it can be stated that the social trends lead the organizational change. Similarly, as health awareness has been increasing and people are becoming more health conscious, therefore, the food companies need to change their trend and to ensure their survival they need to come up with the food that is healthy.
