Chapter 1: What is organizational behavior?

 

Introduction:

 

There are two dimensions are faced by the organization and have confronted these challenges effectively. These issues are intra-external and flexibility control focuses. In intra-external focus that realize the internal activities like employees participation and operations activities in the organization. In external focus, that means outside the organization like government, social factors, environment and technological factors. In flexibility control dimension that elaborates the focus on what has to be done in past and flexible orientation in performing organizational activities. Skills and experiences are required to meet the demand of the organizational internal and external focused activities. Skills and required to confront the flexibility in managing and maintain the internal control. Professional skills are the important part of organizational performance in achieving the organizational goals.

Analysis:

 

            My strong skills include personal productivity and motivation, planning, organizing and understanding other and myself.  Whereas, the skills where my performance is weak include time and stress management, participative decision making, creative thinking, building, and maintaining power base. According to the computing value framework, my strong skills indicate that I have good managerial capabilities in production, coordination and mentoring. However, I need further improvement in managerial aspects related to production, Facilitation, innovation and broking. In addition, my strong skills in production emphasis external locus of control and skills in facilitation, innovation and broking show high level of flexibility. 

Concluding comments:

 

            According to survey results and competing value framework, it is concluded that I have good capabilities for external locus of control for production. I have capability to motivate employees for higher levels of productivity. Time and stress management is an important part of external locus of control. Production has to be done intimae without making employees stressed. Moreover, Results demonstrate that I have good capabilities to become affective coordinator and mentor. Moreover, I have capabilities to become production manager. Being a manager, I can affectively coordinate my subordinates. Coaching a mentoring is an important aspect of managerial position. Capabilities in these aspects enable me to become affective managerial capabilities in training and developing of employees and mentoring. Competing value framework indicates that I have high flexibility to adjust in organizational environment as well as external locus of control for the organization.  

Chapter 2: Perceptions, personality and emotions

Introduction:

 

Personality, perception and emotion are the inner feeling of the individual who is characterized in their intuitions and reflect in the work performance. In assessing, the locus of control is the evaluation of the inner feelings in the individuals. If I receive the good grades it is due to efforts of my own not on the others. In my perception that if I work hard then I get the promotion at the working place that, increase my overall performance.  This derives that high score on internal locus of control. High self-monitor that how to evaluate myself in respond towards the work performance at the workplace. The emotions are derived from the person environment activities.

Analysis:

 

            My score for locus of control is eight. Score indicates that I have high level of internal locus of control.
