Summary

The concept of fishbone states that the diagram or the graph is intended to explains or show the reasons of the specific issues that might be hindering the organization in its achievement of goals. The use of diagram for prevention of quality defect from the product and the designing in the product, identification of the factors that are causing this effect or change. The reasons are considered the variation sources and these causes or the reasons are grouped as into major categories like, people, Machines, Materials, Environments, measurements, and the methods involved in the process of operations.

The concepts that are stated in the chapter relates to the Fishbone aspect of the management where the management would see the social function as a transformational impact on the processes and operations of the company. The organizations would adopt the fishbone analysis to implement the social methods of business to make the employees on board with its goals and objectives. The identification of the reasons of the slow productivity or even performance of the employees could be assessed by the company through different aspects of change in the organization in terms of social media. The previous practices of the organizations were to make the goals as an obligation for the employees but now a day the organization would turned them as more participative and community based. On the other hand, the effect of the policies made by the executive leadership would have the positive impact or influence on the employees. This holds the viewpoint that the identification of key champions from the executives and managers is necessary for the implementation of the policies or solutions for the reasons or causes.

The organizations would mainly be affected with the affectivity or productivity not only its goals but also the performance of the employees in such circumstances. The method of fishbone is the analysis of the causes or events that are affecting the functions or even goals of the organization. These reasons might include the low productivity of the employees and their behaviors against the policies of the organization. The analysis states that the attitudes are driven by the policies of social aspect inside the organization that means the employees feel important and valued when their voices are heard inside the organization.
