The Syrian regime is generally transitioned from an insurgent situation into civil war started in Syria during summers of 2012. Initially, Bashar al-Assad continued the counterinsurgency strategies that his father has adopted to curse insurgency in the country but he failed to implement and run those strategies, which has made the Syrian conflict so deadly. Bashar al-Assad father adopted the counterinsurgency strategies that includes; military force hiring, increasing strength of pro-government militias, and the use of these militias to deal with the insurgents out of the main towns and gathered a heavy garrison of troops. Bashar al-Assad failed to deploy all the forces to vipe out the insurgency issues because he selected one-third of the total forces to cope up with this issue. This thing raises the conflicts of minds within the Syrian army that has separated many loyalists from the army that in turn has weakened the Syrian Army. Pro-Assad militia becomes the most important reinforcement of Syrian Army. The members of the Assad family have done the history worst brutality against their opponents that has raised the shameful acts committed by both parties against each other. In addition, the local communities also established their own militia groups, which have the support of the Assad regime and have the coordination with Hezbollah and Islamic Revolutionary Guards of Iran. The Bashar al-Assad regime has deployed all types of weapons to cope up with the insurgents and even when they win the town or cities, they lose the population of that area because of the use of massive destruction weapons. The chemical weapon has the only thing, which the Assad regime has not used against its opponents that could be used in near future to displaced large-scale population. The Assad regime has gathered its conventional forces in the cities of Damascus and Homs. The regime deployed small number of battalions/ troops to its Northern and Southern regions that has given the strength to its opponents who got control of those large areas and resultantly weakened the Syrian Army. The army mainly headquarters only at Damascus and Homs where the rebels has made successful progression but failed to dislodge the Syrian Army main holds. As the Assad, army has failed to gain control of the captured cities of rebels but he is well settled in the main towns to fight continuously with the rebels with full force.
