Dread for nothing is the basic fear in the grand inquisitor.  The insupportable is for the man that creates threat and fear the Christ. The cries, sobs, confusion in the people CREATES fear in the Christ as because the grand inquisitor burn in the church of Romans.

The grand inquisitor burnt in the cardinal where courts, king, knights, charming women of court are present. The Seville population is also presented in the brunt of cardinal. According to  Dostoyevsky “An old man in the crowd, blind from childhood, cries out, 'O Lord, heal me and I shall see Thee!' and, as it were, scales fall from his eyes and the blind man sees Him”. This shows the respect for the grand that how the people inherent by surrounding him. The grand inquisitor is an old man about age of ninety, which is erect and tall and has sunken eyes with withered face. Grand inquisitor is the burning enemy in the Roman Church. He likes to wear coarse, monk’s cassock and old. The obedience and silence with the passion of encouragement about the palace of holy and inquisitions.

The Christ is seen as threat because many inquisitions shun him.  The dark, breathless night in the Seville, that creates threats for the grand inquisitor.   The darkness in the iron door creates prisoner for the grand inquisitor.  The grand inquisitor comes himself and fears with lights of his hands.  The closed door behind him threatens suddenly. According to Dostoyevsky, “at last he goes up slowly, sets the light on the table and speaks.”

The people view the grand inquisitor with respect and bow down on their knees.  The child rises up but the face of grand inquisitor darkens.  The people tremble with great obedience and submit in fear.   The people midst of deathlike silence and hands are laid down on the guards to lead him away.   The guards come closer to the prison around the grand inquisitor. The crowd bows down to the earth and towards the old inquisitor.  The pitch of darkness in the prison suddenly opened for the grand inquisitor and fear with lights of his hands.

The grand inquisitor wants to free the land of Christ, he wants country to be governed by the sacred laws. This depicts that liberation of nations and states must be considered or liberating states and nations is a moral obligation. The resources of the land are being exploited by few, who have vested interests and no morals. They are following the path of devil.
