Title: Employee performances in comparison with workplace practices

  1. Executive Summary

The current research was made to investigate the matters related with the performance of an employee in an organization. The organizations are working to eliminate the risks from their workplace environments in a way to develop good moral structure of an employee. The current study takes employee performance as a dependent variable and financial rewards, organizational culture, sexual harassment and manager’s attitude as independent variables. The study was made with the help of a questionnaire development and each employee is asked to fill that questionnaire as to his or her own understandings.

All of the selected variables had either positive or negative impact on the employees of an organization. In our current study the results suggests that financial rewards has the positive impact on the employee performances rest of the variables affects or hinders their performances. The current study had quantitative nature and the effects of variables were seen in Microsoft where the sample was based on 500 employees of Microsoft working around the globe. The study analyzed the application of multiple regression analysis as there are four independent and one dependent variables involved in the study. The effects of these five independent variables were seen for investigating the employee performances in Microsoft.

The study was a good venture for enhancing my statistical analysis skills and computations on the excel spreadsheets. I have collected data through questionnaire and direct email to employees overseas.   

  1. Introduction

The employee performances could be affected by huge number of certain elements that are playing in the work place scenarios. The performances of an employee are considered an art, which the employees have to work out for completing their tasks within the prescribed limits defined in their job descriptions. The huge number of variables which affected the performances of an employee some of them are included in the current study. The problem statement which needs to be addressed in this current study was to identify the performances of Microsoft employees in reaching its maximum output and profits during eth recent times and to sort out the most distressing factors. (Naharuddin & Sadegi, 2013)

The elements of work environment give a massive effect to the representatives' either towards the negative results or the positive results. Variables of work environment assume a critical part towards the representatives' execution. In the course of the most recent decades, the variables of workplace of the workplace specialists had changed because of the adjustments in a few elements, for example, the social environment, data innovation and the adaptable methods for arranging work forms.

The representatives' are physically and sincerely have the craving to work, where they must act in accordance with enhancing their work place performances. Some exploration had demonstrated that there are some positive influences while applying an appropriate working environment methodology. In addition, they likewise expressed that by having a legitimate work environment; it helps in diminishing the quantity of non-appearance and in this manner can expand the representatives' execution that will prompts the expanding number of efficiency at the work environment.

The analysis of the study provides that the dependent variable which was the performances of the Microsoft employees are affected by the independent variables which were the sexual harassment, organizational culture, manager’s attitude but on the other hand the financial rewards have positive effect on the employee performances based on eth job descriptions that they had. There are five hundred results generated from the tests of samples where the regression was equaled to .85 and the residual was calculated as 1.41.

  1. Conclusion / Recommendation

At the end, it could be said that the current study presents mixture of results, which clarifies the workplace environment factors affecting the performances of the Microsoft employees. The past research studies also identified the numerous factors working in the job place environments affecting the employee performances. There is only one variable, which had the positive impact on the employee performances as to what their job description says despite of negative impacting independent variables in the shape of sexual harassments, attitude of the manger, organizational culture.
