There are several businesses sponsoring the sports and this is a new source of advertisement and marketing their own products and services. Coca-Cola is one of the largest sponsors for the football events and they spend millions of dollars on sponsoring the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Organizations like Coca-Cola have been searching for other mediums for their promotional purposes to target the customers. They do not find advertisement on the television as much effective as it used to be because mostly people have left watching the live television and so the advertisement appears in the mean time. Promotional advertisement is no more effective in attracting the customers, therefore Coca-Cola decided making the football matches sponsor as they also did in the FIFA World Cup 2014. Sponsoring Football events are always profitable for the organizations and same case with the Coca-Cola. Football is one of the most watching sports in the youth segment and Coca-Cola is targeting mainly youth age group.

Young People want the opportunities playing the football game in the safe environment so that they can also physically enjoy playing football as the other professional players. Therefore, Coca-Cola has organized several football tournaments and given the young people an opportunity for playing the football just like professional footballers. They had thousands of young footballers took a part and very few were selected out of thousands footballers. There were also millions of people came for watching the tournament matches sponsored by the Coca-Cola and this improved the brand image and reputation in the eyes of young football lovers. Millions of young football lovers became a part of this football tournament as a player, participation in selection round and came for watching match in the stadium.
